We are currently looking for a BI Solution Architect to join the team in Delft .

The organization has set ambitious goals within its Digital Strategy, including the transformation into a data-driven organization. A key foundation for this transformation is the development of a new, future-proof data platform that will enhance decision-making, improve end-user service experiences, and increase process efficiency.

We are seeking an experienced BI Solution Architect to create a platform environment that enables every colleague to maximize the use of data. The platform's scope extends beyond BI to include solutions for machine learning, data science, and artificial intelligence.

Main responsibilities

Under the guidance of the lead of the data foundation, you will engage with various stakeholders to understand their ambitions regarding data and data-driven operations. Through multiple iterations, you will develop a functional and technical design for the new platform, aiming to create end-to-end data solutions that meet user needs and technical requirements. You will closely collaborate with a data architect, who will develop the data architecture as the basis for this platform.

You will be part of the Digital Transformation Office, reporting to the lead of the data foundation: the Director of Strategic Development. From this position, you will work closely with colleagues from various domains within the organization. The development of this platform is a crucial first step towards a more data-driven institution. Therefore, it is important for us that you help guide the organization through this journey. You should be communicative, able to inspire others about data, and find it important to build broad support for your design.

Requirements

• HBO/WO level of working and thinking
• Proven experience in developing technical and functional designs for a data platform based on the multidisciplinary user needs of the business
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, enabling you to unravel and simplify complexity
• Ability to explain the pros and cons of decisions to colleagues, regardless of their background in data
• Knowledge of the possibilities and limitations of (cloud) software solutions for data extraction, transformation, and export
• Familiarity with TOGAF, ArchiMate, and UML
• Knowledge and experience with software solutions and techniques for data platforms, such as logical data warehouse, data lake, data lakehouse, data fabric, and data mesh
• Understanding of BI technologies, related processes, and dominant BI reporting tools
• Knowledge of essential topics such as data governance, master data, data management, data quality, and security
• Professional proficiency in Dutch
